Berlin Sessions and Insel — Berlin Treptow invite you to this year’s last edition of our Insel Sessions!
Every month, we’ll showcase three acoustic artists in a beautiful outdoor setting. Located close to Treptower Park, we invite you to dip your feet in the water, get rid of the city’s troubles, enjoy the company of good friends, fine beers and discover some fantastic artists.
The charming twins from Wexford, Ireland are one of the most ambitious duos among Ireland’s wide range of young talented artists. Their music can be described as a “forceful blend of rich harmonies and bare, raw acoustic folk” with a small bluesy connotation. Brandon and Ashley started their band project in high school: This is when they started busking around Ireland. The characteristic and raw, but melodic voices of the duo are underlined by the folky tunes of their guitar and harmonica which will capture your attention from the very first moment. Keep an eye on The Ocelots, because their career as musicians is going to be bright.

Lea W. Frey
Lea W. Frey is a Berlin-based singer who knows no limits regarding genres and its conventions. Her music combines her passion for classical and jazz singing with a mixture of dreampop and indie. She released her album ‚Plateaus‘ in fall last year, which was highly praised by the critics. Lea’s outstanding voice in combination with the deep and mystical sounds creates a powerful, yet fragile wall of sound you will never forget. Lea W. Frey will perform her songs together with her band in a “kind of unplugged”-setup — so this is going to be really special.

The “Australian troubadour” Lucas Laufen is a Singer/Songwriter who has his roots in folk music. Soft and harmonic guitar riffs meet the dreamy and tender voice of the Australian. He left his costal hometown Port Lincoln to continue his career as a musician in Europe and to share his melancholic but hopeful songs with us. His last EP ‚Goodbye’, which can be described as a nostalgic journey through his own past, was published in 2017. Be prepared for an imaginary ride along the cost of Australia in Lucas Laufen’s solo-acoustic performance.
